I found a link for junk journals on you tube.......
and now I can't stop ...........................I need therapy!!! I have made about 5 or so. One of them is being sent back and forth between a couple of friends every few months and below is 3 of them that I made. 1 for me and 2 for my girls!
Below is mine. I made it out of beautiful sheets of vintage wallpaper.
Below is my older daughter's journal! I let her take pictures with my camera of her journal and of the pages that she wanted to be shown....
Below is my younger daughter's journal...
My friend and I decided to make books for each other and be completely surprised at what we did for each other. Below is what I made for her.....
I MADE A VINTAGE CIRCUS FREAK BOOK WITH RANDOM POSITIVE THOUGHTS!!!
THE COVER WAS MADE OUT OF AN OLD VINTAGE VELVET BLANKET THAT WAS PICKED UP AT THE LONG BEACH FLEA MARKET!
THE STUNNING GAL ABOVE HAS NO ARMS AND IS HOLDING HER MARTINI WITH HER FOOT! THE QUOTE SAYS "FLAWLESS DOESN'T EVEN BEGIN TO DESCRIBE ME"!
TOMORROW I WILL TAKE PICTURES OF THE FABULOUS BOOK SHE MADE ME AND WILL POST ...
SO MUCH FUN... WE WERE BOTH SO SURPRISED!!
OMG, Christmas is next Friday!! I need some inspiration! These are a few of my favorite thingys!!!! Real shiney brite pink ornaments and tiny pink feather tree!
The teeniest and tiniest of towns under the glass dome of a cake plate!
Two of my favorite things are the stockings that Grandma made for the girls!! It takes a lot of stuff to fill them up. It is also the girls' favorite thing to open on christmas!
These are my cute little cardboard houses that my grandma bought at Woolworths for 15 cents. They were a bit shabby, so I blinged them up!!
Last but not least, the pink and gold REAL tree!!! Hubby loves it too!! He really does not have a say though, with three girls in the house!!!
Our first wedding christmas ornament! This will be vintage soon. It is about 17 years old. "How funny to say this will vintage soon"!
This is one of my favorite ornaments. It is huge. It is the size of hmmmmm, let me think, it is about the size of a small cantaloupe and is blown glass. Just love it. It has three sides, one with this darling little girl, another with a pink ballerina and another with a toy soldier....
and last but not least, every girl needs a pink Christmas Tree Topper!
Merry Christmas!! Now that I am in the mood, I will put out some more favorite things and post them too!!!!
I finished my glam book !! This was one of my favorite books to create by Sandy Navarro!!! I did not know what I was going to do with it until I searched through many pictures and kept finding fun little pictures that were random and needed a special place to go!
I sewed these little pearls on the page with tulle....
Here we are at a 70's wedding at the Madonna Inn. Hubby donned the sideburns and dressed like Elvis....
Last year I found this cute little easter idea on http://scrapologie.blogs.com/scrapologie_creating_art_/2008/03/index.html
Luckily I printed it, cuz she removed the pictures for publication this year, but the directions are still there. I remembered it this year and I had so much fun making them. They are felt dollar baskets from Target and then you just make them your own.
I also craft-lifted from Andrea at One Hundred Wishes. I too, like a few other crafters out there, missed the tiny window of opportunity to purchase one of her beautiful easter egg creations. I think they sold out in about 20-minutes. So I, like a few other "craft-lifters" I saw out there made my own egg creation. You can still view them though on Andrea's website and they are stunning. She was kind enough to leave them up so we could savor them.
I will definately make more next year.
I have been a bad blogger. I keep searching the blogs and just luv each and every one of them. I am even using a template because it is easier than being creative. I have millions of ideas and I just can't seem to get started.
Butttttt, I think I found it!!! While hubby was outside trimming his posies, he found the tiniest baby surprise!! He made me get up from my couch potato position and boy was I glad I did!!!
We walked outside and he pointed at the little palm tree................ I said uhhhh, yea..................and he said look a little closer!!!!!
Look a little closer................
a little closer .................
Can you see it yet???????????
Is that unbelievable??????????????? This little perfect nest is smaller than an easter egg!!
That thingy on top kind of looks like a bug, but is bird stuffing!! I just can't enough of this wonderful find!!!!
And then I gently pulled down one of the prawns ..............
No, No, No, I did not put a jelly bean inside!! THAT IS NATURE'S PERFECT TREASURE!!!!
Yes, I am back from Disneyland!!! I am getting ready to put up some more Marie books on Etsy. I will show them here first!!
I have just had creative block due to this sad economy and all the sad news that I hear everyday.
I have perusing all your lovely blogs and I have definately been inspired again. I'll be back soon!!!
But today, I am off to Disneyland.............. I have not been there since ..............I dun even know, but I am kinda excited.........
This is my attempt at Artsy Mama's Autumn gathering, which is pretty much my favorite time of the year, HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!
I already included the outside at Crazy's birthday party below.... this is the inside................
I framed pictures of the kids in halloween costumes of when they were young, I could stare at them forever.....
These pictures change as you walk by. They look like your average Aunt and Uncle without horns and snakes at certain angles........
The frozen charlotte head is my new favorite halloween piece from Beth Quinn .........
Happy Halloween!!!!!!
Crazy Daisy's birthday was pretty crazy!!!!!! It was our first boy-girl party. I have never had so many big-boy shoes at our front door.
Since it is in October, hubby likes to go all out with decorations.......
Crazy luvs this little girl skeleton and says she is burying her dad!!
I luv this pink vulture I found at Michaels!
I tried to find all of the fun foods in Orange and Black....
Then the boys came.... sheesh what a difference in energy...
I think the sweet girly parties are behind us .....
We had to keep these kids busy cuz they had crazy energy. We played wrap the mummy in toilet paper, boys against the girls. They liked it so much, we played it three times....
Why of course - WHAT WAS I THINKING!!!! What else were they going to do with the toilet paper, but this.......
Time to open presents......

This is my favorite and I believe this is an original art piece by Randi!
Thank you Randi!
So sorry to my sweet swap partner (Randi) for the Vintage Halloween swap. I did not have my camera so I could not take pictures of her great swap. I will be posting it this weekend.
"BQ"
I am so very sad!! I went to "The French General" on Friday night with my old and new friends and then attended "Artistic Affaire 2" and I have no proof. I left my beautiful camera at the The French General and they had to ship it home, so I could not take any pictures of Kim's lovely home.
I wanted to brag about her house and brag about my lovely friends and brag about the incredible classes ... but alas I will have to point you to some of my friends blogs so you can see where I went and what I got to do and wish that you could have done it too!!!!!
Check out all of the Bling Queens at Artistic Affaire on the left side and click on all their names. These Queens will all have their own vision of this lovely event, and I agree with all of them!!! Here are a few:
Kim - The Queen Bee; Ooh La La Queen - Kelly, (she actually has a picture of me wearing one of darling aprons - (the visual proof); Angel Queen - Cheryl; darling Queen Holly and there are more.
