Here we are at Pink Saturday again..... this is my third weekend and I am having fun finding pink stuff around my house. I luv that Beverly of How Sweet the Sound has thought this up!!! There are quite few other women participating in this, so don't forget to go and check her out.
So this weekend I decided to focus on a few things my daughters have that are pink!!!
My daughter's best friend drew this a few years back and I think it is the cutest!!
And, in tribute to the first day of school ..... My high-schoolers' laptop/notebook/lunch handbag, which she just simply adores, and frankly so do I......If I could carry one, I certainly would!!! This is so soft in pink and black velour and this thing is huge!!!
The tiniest of pink phones I have ever seen.
These don't look too pink in this picture, but they are hot pink chandelier pillows.....It must be the setting on my camera
Why of course, salmon pink walls, what other color walls are there?
A vintage satin glove box .............
Doesn't every little girl have a pink tea set??
Ok, here is Mommy's tea set..... I just luv these little french people!~!
and of course, little pink crafty stuff!!! Who doesn't have little pink crafty stuff!!!! Is that the littlest pink iron you ever saw???

Lovely pink vintage horseshow ribbons~~another wonderfully crafty have-to-have staple and don't know why!
Ok, back to bed for a nice little nap~
and never forget ~~~~
First of all, if you live in California, it is the law to wear an ear piece to talk on your cell phone while driving. (hee hee, I have to giggle cuz I remember when there were no cell phones and I could put on my lipstick and mascara, and hold a cigarette while driving.) Now I look back on that and think "Sheesh, not real good"!!! So I quit smoking, I usually put on my lipstick while parked and now I wear an ear piece so I don't have to hold my cell phone. Has anyone else seen men shaving while driving besides me? I just think its' funny!!! LUV MY PINK EAR PIECE!!! Oh and don't forget to check out the other pink ladies here!!
MMMM, my lovely little pink vintage jewelry box with pink treasures inside!
Isn't that pink satin so inviting ??? I just want to jump inside that pocket and take a nap!
OK Luv these trinkets, but yuck, I need glasses, cuz this box is dirty!! Just look at the cute jewelry!!!
AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!! I adore this vintage button bracelet!!!!!
Another favorite is anything with chandeliers! Don't we all need a teapot with a pink chandelier on it surrounded by chocolate Marie Antoinette suckers on top of a pink cake plate!!!! (hee hee)
I swear I did not set these up! These are just cute little vignettes in my tea room. I walked around taking pictures of pink things. I am glad I dusted though!
Of course you have to have tea cup with a pink rose inside!!
My cute mini muffin tin that I painted pink and filled with what else, pink stuff!!!!
And last but not least!!!! HELLOOOO!! Need I say more!!!
Wow, I knew I liked pink, but I did not realize I had so much pink!!! Have to save some for next time!!! Off for a cup of tea and check out the rest of the Pink Gang!!! Have a great weekend!!
"BQ"
and always remember "Not all bad girls wear black, some wear pink"!!!
I am going to join in on "Pink Saturday" this saturday. I luv everyone's pink stuff and I too have some pink stuff!!!!!
Stay tuned!!!!
Ok, so evidently Friday night was the release of the 4th book of the Twilight series. This book has taken my daughter and her friends captive!!!
When Summer began, we told our girls that this Summer they were going to have to read a book and not become couch potatoes!! Hubby and I received the "Evil Eye"!!! That evening I took them both to Borders and told them to find a book they might like to read. One kid slouched her shoulders and dragged her body one way and the other child pouted and hung her head and went the opposite way!!
It was interesting to find out what they would come up with. One came up with "Twilight" and one found "Diary of a wimpy kid". Anything to get them to read!!!
We went home and the girls got busy. Ashlee read Twilight (498) pages in two days. She could not put it down!!!! She begged me to get the second book and said she would buy it herself with her allowance. Then she begged me for the third book the very next day after she read the second book!!!
These are pretty cool looking books!!!

Here we are at Borders!! We arrived at 8:30 p.m., one hour before the festivities were to begin. I went and sat at the coffee shop and ordered an ice tea so I would not fall asleep. I was actually going to just drop the girls off, but there were so many colorful characters walking through the doors, I thought I would stay for awhile and observe.
There were approximately 400 people to arrive. There were scavenger hunts, and trivia games to win prizes and costume contests, which is why there were so many "things" to look at. My ice tea and my new copy of "Artful Blogging" got me through until 12:14 a.m. Then I ran across the article with Kim's Artistic Affaire Logo and I was so excited that I screamed in my mouth!! It was so nice to savor every article and blog from front to back without any interruptions, despite the vampires, gothic brides and weirdo kids running around. The girls eventually ran over screaming and giggling with their books and a twinkle in their eyes. We did the Del Taco drive thru at 12:30 a.m. (Brought back memories of the good ol days of dancing all night at the "Red Onion" and then heading to "Naugles" for the "Macho Burrito"!!!! )

The girls slept for five hours and then had to attend a birthday party at 8:00 a.m for breakfast at the Pancake House and ice skating. Believe it or not, they could not wait to get home for a double-sleepover to just read their books. I just kept shaking my head thinking, "who's child is this?", while at the same time feeling lucky that my teenage daughter and her friend wanted to stay home and read. They dined on popcorn and swedish fish~~~
They did not leave the bed until Sunday at noon and they were so sad when their adventure was coming to an end, they actually begged for a triple sleepover~~
Would ya at least take a shower, you guys are getting ripe????
Ok, Ok, so I found this darling site - Little Pink Studio through another one of my fabulous favorite blogs here and I just about fell out of my chair!!! I have been missing out on "Show and Tell Sundays" and this one was vintage papes - AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHGGGGG, I luv vintage papers!!!
So I decided to show a couple of my pretty cool vintage books. I will save the rest for I dunno, maybe "Show and Tell Vintage Books" (hint, hint) Anywhoooo, the first two are a couple of -------- can you guess --------- of course "Marie Antoinette" from 1917!!
P.S. I am drinking champagne and toasting my books right now!!
Next is this lovely little pop-up book that is incredible!
Pretty cool huh!
